Welcome to an evening of festive joy as The Cecilian Singers proudly present their Christmas concert, ‘The Midnight Star‘.
This year’s performance is held in aid of The New Normal, a charity dedicated to offering free mental health support. Inspired by the celestial theme of hope guiding us through the dark, tonight’s programme bridges the traditional and the contemporary, through timeless sing-a-long classic carols, alongside modern choral masterpieces from Eric Whitacre and Ola Gjeilo, and a special performance of Peter Yue’s Midnight Star Makes Bright the Skies. The New Normal Hong Kong (TNN) is a charity built on a simple belief: no one in our city should face life’s most difficult moments alone. With nearly half of Hong Kong residents experiencing anxiety or depression, and public wait times stretching up to two years, TNN bridges the gap with free, non-judgmental peer support groups led by trained hosts with lived experience. TNN creates safe, low-barrier support to break stigma and help people feel less isolated across Hong Kong. https://www.thenewnormalcharityhk.org/
Mozart’s Requiem 2026
The Cecilian Singers and The Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra performed Mozart’s Requiem with soloists from Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts on Saturday 16th May 2026. The Cecilian Singers Chamber Choir with special guests Vox Antiqua performed Bob Chilcott’s Gloria accompanied by guests from Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts.
The concert raised $50,000 for The Nesbitt Centre.
Choir Aid 2026
The Cecilian Singers joined Choir Aid 2026, a spectacular concert bringing our community together in support of the Tai Po Relief Fund. Under the theme “Rising Together,” eight choirs came together for an evening of music featuring a great lineup of local talent. Together we were able to raise $200,000

Highlights of Handel’s Messiah
Thank you to all those who joined us on 12th April 2025 as we embarked on an extraordinary musical journey! We presented a breath-taking performance of highlights from Handel’s Messiah in the beautiful surroundings of Union Church. Cecilian Singers teamed up with The Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra and soloists from the HKAPA to bring a fabulous Easter treat! Thank you to all the additional guest singers form HKU, HKWMVC and others who came to join this very special chorus. Conducted by Harty Tam, Musical Director Andrew Leung.
